Why none of these connect to a recall on the map
CDC investigation notices name the firm whose product was implicated, not a specific recall record. The FDA pages they link to carry no recall number either, and openFDA's recall records contain no reference back to those pages — checked across all 17,333 records, with zero found. Connecting the two would mean matching on firm name and dates, which is a guess. This project does not link outbreaks to recalls by guessing, so these stay unlinked and the map shows no outbreak information. The FDA pages each notice cites are listed below so the trail is at least visible.
